Who knows what or who the new year wil bring
Happy New Year everyone
I just found your blog. Presumably this year is fairly heavy with schoolwork, but it seems to me that the people who advised you to go fishing or watch football are on the right track but are being too specific in what they suggest.
May I put forward a model for a three point resolution for the new year?
1) Join a club - sports, choir, dramatic society - it really doesn't matter what sort so long as you have at least one meeting, rehearsal, practice to go to on the same night each week. If you have no particular talent, remember that most organisations are more than grateful to have someone who is willing to make the tea, set out the chairs etc. and the social effect is just as good for you. (If you have the smallest religious inclination churches often provide a varied social life as well as support in your family problems, and you can tell a priest things in the absolute certainty that what you say will go no further.) Also join a library - nice and warm and quiet even if you don't read much for pleasure.
2) Get a job which takes you out every Saturday and gives you a bit of money to spend on being out more often.
3) Make sure that your family knows what their quarrels are doing to you. If you can't tell them face to face for fear of provoking another quarrel, you could start by giving your mother a note to read, or - if a more subtle approach is needed - leave a diary for her to find (this is a good day to start it), but make sure it says what you want her to read.
Have a better new year, and remember that things do get better. Mid teens is a pretty horrible time even with the best of families.

Thanks for the advice. I had been toying with joining a drama group at school. I dunno. Not religious at all, and I dont think I have the patience for Fishing. Maybe Football, if Viera's pictures are anything to go by.
My room is a safe haven, which is good. Dunno about the diary, perhaps I should let my mum read this blog! HAHA. Dont know what she'll make of my crush on another boy though. Probably delight in the drama it will cause
